Oh well, as long as I'm simply writing fanfiction I'll keep on writing whatever I feel like. It's worth it even if there were just a few people to keep up with the story.

Thank you! I've wondered at times whether it's cultural, I know that at least in the academic Anglo-American writing style everything needs to be spelled out and explained more thoroughly than in the academic writing style hailing from Germany we use here in Finland.

I've once used an open ending in a one-shot, and in chain the end after the last actual chapter was also semi-open. With the oneshot there was bunch of people asking for more, and with chain people kept assuming the story was still continuing for real. So I suppose I just assumed leaving things open would not fly well.

Yes, there was. I like it how everyone always has their own interpretations, which is probably why I love occasionally to have a bit of an open ending - too bad that the readers seem to hate those. xD

Thank you. I figured that since I started with the matchmaker, I should also end with her - I have a thing for such symmetry. And many people have been curious about this scene ever since it happened in the story line, so I had to explain it at some point.

It's perfectly all right, I like to be concise and to the point, too.

doesn't sound harsh! different things for different people. I know a LOT of people that really hate naruto. I can't lie, i'm not as much in love with it as i first was, and bleach is even worse they lost me a long time ago.

DeathNote... well ... i dunno with that one i just kinda hated it at first and then loved it, but it's slow and harder to plot Xovers with.

I dont know many of the ones you mentioned. There's so many manga out there that it's hard to pick one that is interesting and not just the same old same old.

One thing i do know is that with all the ones i like to Xover for, or read for it's usually b/c there's at least one character that I'm totally in love with kagome being with. Like Kakashi for naruto, L for DeathNote, and Byakuya from bleach, there are secondary char's too which is how i got hooked into Xovers.

canon IY fics are getting so very done for SK and AU are wild or not very good most of the time. randomly Xovering stuff sometimes just works :3
