I tried to maintain a realistic approach as far as her not understanding legal jargon with the contract (how many people can read one with clarity), and as far as fighting back, I felt she would want to try in the beginning (the first contractual agreement), but resign herself to it because she assumed it to be a one time thing and to just go with it. Its also why I tried to make her more terrified of him (and the act) after he informs her of the misunderstanding of the contract.

I'm trying to blend two worlds that we can only speculate on. While yes, many women can hold positions of power in their world, the one thing they have to have is that power to maintain their status. That is something I see a young twenty something struggling with, especially from our time.

Thanks for the review on A Miko's Peace. Yeah I decided early on that there would be 100 chapters to this story. Though at the time I thought it'd be impossible to reach, now it seems attainable. The Pt. 2 of the story should be interesting. I already know how it's gonna end. The very last chapter will, hopefully, be my best.
