Why does the world go 'round?

Because if it the world was paused and not turning, those people stuck on the dark side of the world would stay out all night dancing and drinking cocktails, leading to them just goofing off because they are getting sillier and sillier, wearing out their shoe leather from all that dancing around and creating hazards dropping their cocktail glasses through sheer exhaustion.

The world demand for shoes and glasses would soar beyond all capabilities leading to the people in the eternal daylight getting horribly overtired and argumentative because the day would never come to a close while they toiled in the factories and they would be churning out footwear and drinking vessels like there was no tomorrow, leaving no time for picnics, shopping for cupcakes or no time for reading or writing fanfiction.

It's probably best that the world continues to turn.
