LOL. I can’t really play the piano. I cheat. I have post-it tabs on each key telling me which key that is and I write out the notes on my sheet music. I actually have some trouble understanding my maternal grandma. lol. She doesn’t speak Mandarin well and she doesn’t speak Tai Yu at all. I don’t understand much Zhe Jiang and she has such a heavy accent… my mom usually has to translate for me. LOL. Which is, actually, pretty unfortunate. I’ve only met my maternal grandma a handful of times because America is just too far away from Taiwan. It takes 24 hours to get there by plane! My Memory is a fantastic one. I tried to learn how to play it on the piano, with no success so far... but I'm trying. lol. I have a soft spot for kdramas starring Choi Ji Woo. What language does your grandma speak? Chinese is the hardest language to learn and I think it's amazing that I was born Chinese so I can skip out on it being the most difficult thing in the world. I did take a year of Japanese and I'm hoping to be able to pick that up again some time in the future. As for Tai Yu, I can understand it when someone is speaking it, but I can't say it. Strange? Well, I can explain. I was never taught how to speak it. But my parents spoke Tai Yu in front of me ever since I was a child, so I picked up on it. My tongue is unaccustomed to it but my ear isn't.
