Hey Noacat I just want to tell you as a friend here on Dokuga that I am proud of you for having coped with your grief so bravely and positively. It must be so hard, losing three loved ones consecutively, but still you dealt with the pain in a mature and dignified manner by penning your heartfelt emotions and thoughts for others to learn from. I am sure they are so proud of you too, and happy that you are living on strongly and positively. Through your own feelings you teach others whose lives you touch (such as through your fiction), and I am honored to have been taught. I went through something pretty terrible two years back, when a friend from high school died in a military freak accident while training in Taiwan. He was only 20 then, robust and full of life. But it all ended in an instant. I am ashamed to admit, but I couldn't deal with the grief too well. Time was mostly spent crying and wondering why life was so unfair. But now, my perspectives have changed, and I want you to know that you played a part in making it possible

Dear Noacat, thank you for the lovely review you left for "Once upon an Edo night"! I am very honored you found it well-researched and written, given that (as you mentioned) the theme of oiran and tayu from the Yoshiwara or Shimabara is rarely explored in fanfiction. I had a fantastic time writing that piece of work; it just flowed on and on. Unfortunately though, this story would end in the next chapter, and I'd go back to Wisteria, my geisha story. Even though it seemed nice enough as a theme/storyline to be made into a longer story...
