About Me

About me, hmm, that's easy... I'm a 64 yr old widow woman with a 37 yr old daughter who actually got me into the world of Anime and fanfiction 24 years ago. I have been been blessed with my first granddaughter,  Aria Astra, 2 years ago and she with her mom and dad live with me in the mid west in the US. I am disabled with too many things going on that I will not bore you with the details. Suffice it to say, I am bedridden often and my laptop (a gift from my loving husband) keeps me in blissful happiness reading fanfiction.  My favorite pairing is Sesshoumaru and Kagome.

I am not a writer and I don't believe I'd even try but I do love getting caught up into this world of fanfiction. I have a wide range of things I enjoy reading so I can't pinpoint just any one type. If a story peaks my interest and is written with some semblance of order and sense I read it and review it because I feel that if you took the time and effort to write and post the story, you deserve the opinions of the readers. I am saddened that too many readers don't take the time to at least jot down their approval if they did like the fic, it encourages the writers to broaden their skills.

So, this is me and you writers here in this world are one of my biggest reasons for living. Through your imaginations I get to go places I can never go and enjoy each new adventure you take me on. I can never express enough my heart felt gratitude for your gifts of writing you do for free and I will be a fan for as long as you continue to write and allow me to go along for the ride and for you who review so often, I enjoy reading your reviews as much as the writers. You all encourage me more than you know.

Dear Jen, how have you been, my dear friend? thank you for that lovely review you've left on chapter 33 of HEA! Your words always have a magical way of inspiring me to write, making me feel that all the effort was worth it, renew my love for Sess/Kag constantly and I thank you for it.

The laptop incident was a tragedy, LOL. Your daughter is brilliant; I should have done it that way, but alas, I only got round to backing up once in a blue moon The latest updates were all gone, and I feel faint whenever I think of how I am ever going to go about writing those chapters back. My story Shanghai, had a good 120 pages worth of a Microsoft Word document. *faceplants* it's all my own fault, really, so I can't complain. I'll get down to working on them...eventually.

But anyway, thank you once again for your kind words! I've definitely missed you. And I'm glad to be home.

I agree about the demon/youkai wordplay. Mainly because I love the InuYasha series in Japanese and a small part due to me being asian and knowing some of the background/beliefs, I share your opinion and don't really feel completely comfortable about using "demon" as opposed to "youkai". Although demon is one of the closest English translations of the word, it still doesn't exactly fit. Such as the relation of "geisha" and it's common translation of "prostitute". Yes, a geisha offers herself to her "danna", but she has so much more to offer than just sexual pleasures. I think I left it as demon because originally the story was seeming generic. I wanted to see if there was interest to continue and see where I wanted to take it to make it original. I have had intentions of revising the wording.

Dear Jen, your husband is such an amazing man, and I can feel how much you love him just from your words alone. I admire you for having such a lovely relationship, and I wish the two of you happiness forever!

Thank you for reviewing Happily Ever After, and yes you're right, Sesshoumaru is required to marry to retain the ryokan's ownership. It is a win-win situation for them, which is why they agreed to it in the first place. However, we will only know more of his background and history in later chapters. I've just updated the story with chapter 12, and I hope you enjoy it as well.

Dear Jen, once again, thank you so much for the lovely review of Wisteria! Everything is falling into place, and the mystery is getting closer and closer to being solved. I will definitely catch up on the writing when I get back from Japan, since I am curious as to how Wisteria would end as well. Chapter 56 is up, and I believe it will give you more of the answers you are waiting for

This trip to Japan is going to be more of a graduation trip. Dad and Mom won't be coming along, and it's just me and a very close girlfriend of mine! We're really excited about the trip, and I promise to take more pictures to show you guys!
