It is a fine line to tread, wanting to stay subtle but still having to drop hints, so I'm glad to hear you felt I managed it well. ^^ As for Sesshoumaru, I'm trying to really portray him here as a youkai - it does not mean he is necessary evil, but just make him appear more non-human I suppose, having these little culture clashes with Kagome as in the end of the chapter.

Thank you for your review. Yes, the romance was a little fast wasn't it? I wasn't originally going to do it that way, but it just made more sense. Part II focuses less on the physical/beginning part of their relationship and delves into more of the actual feelings. It's going to be another monster: I have to get through the chemo therapy sessions starting in January and take the story all the way up to Christmas.
You can probably thank my editors for that help in getting the emotions straight. And a few authors from here as well who I've taken inspiration from over the years.
Good to know that lemon was written well. I still don't like it to be honest, but I think that's just my opinion. Hopefully, they'll get easier to write over time.

First, in regards to jigai: At this point, Kagome is a fifteen year old. While she is of the age to be a "woman" in this era of Japan, she's also still a teenager who is impulsive and can't rationalize as much as Sesshomaru can. Thus, we can assume she's always going to choose life.
Second, I haven't told you if she was one of the rape victims yet. I have hinted at whether she was or not though. You might want to read in between the lines for that until I explicitly mention it.
Third, one thing is sure: she did kill the lieutenant. She'll be going in and out of denial for a bit. She snapped out of it because of necessity but she'll go back into that "I killed someone" remorse soon enough.
