I'm pretty sure it was a one shot. Kagome gave birth to Sesshomaru's son but she wasn't allowed to raise it. Sesshomaru raised him, and the same disdain Sesshomaru has for human, his son has. Kagome commits suicide, her son tries to talk her out of it because it would reflect poorly on Sesshomaru. Her son's beast prevents him from fetching his father until its too late for Sesshomaru to bring her back

I'm fairly certain that's the story as it's the first one I thought of when I read the description, though I had no luck finding it , though Kneazles will have to confirm.
