I only remember one scene from this fic, but it was a memorable one.

Kagome and Maru were married/mated (can't remember if it was both yet) in the modern era and one of his office buildings was bombed. They both went to talk to the guy who was in charge and having problems. In the end he fires that guy and hires his assistant to take over, because that guy was incompetent. The bombing was done by a demon.

Really, the name of this story and where it comes from is right on tip of my tongue but it just won't click. Please help.

Ah, I liked that one but don't really feel like reading it again. Thanks, well off to find something new. Oh well.
