Shippo is to be introduced to demon society at a ball being held in the west. Kagome is sewing him and the others kimonos to wear to the event. She does not want to embaris him at this special time in his life. On the way there she has a run in with a young dragon who is guarding a river that she stops to bath in. The young drangon decides he likes her and wants to keep her. The dragon lord of the lands that the yong drangon works for shows up and tells him to release her. It seems that he has taken an instant liking to her himself. Later Kagome meets both of them again at the ball where it also turns out to be something like a courting ball. Something like that. Some demon females grab her in their excitment and take her with them into the room where they will start pairing off. The little dragon is there also, he asks her to dance and he becomes possesive of her. Sesshoumaru is there also and starts to develop feeling for her though he does not understand why. It has something to do with demon betraying some person or god a very long time ago. Because of that demons will now feel the need to be closer and protect the person who is the reincarnetion of the one betrayed. That person turns out to be Kagome.
Please help me, I really want to read it again.
I do not believe it has been completed or that it is very old. I believe that I have read it within the last year or maybe year and a half.
