I'm looking for a fic where Kagome becomes upset with Inuyasha and leaves the group. She goes on a journey/quest to gain more power by becoming a demon through bathing in the blood of ? (100? 1000?) demons. Sesshoumaru stops her before she completes it but Kagome is irrevocably changed.

Woah...I have no idea what fic this is, but I really hope someone does! This sounds like a very interesting story.

It 1000 and I can't think of the name but basically Sesshomaru makes her stop because she will lose her self or something

Wait... I don't think this is it but then again maybe I'm mixing it up with some other story? It has been awhile since I've read it. The story I'm thinking of had several chapters and was fairly long. Plus I'm pretty sure that Kagome learned of it from Sango... I remember that Kagome had become upset by something Inuyasha said/did and she leaves. She eventually runs into Sesshoumaru and she had markings on her. She wasn't too far from completing what she had started. Sesshoumaru stops her because she would loose herself if she did finish it. Or it was something along those lines.

Also I think I read it on ff.net. I don't think I had found Dokuga yet...

The story is 1000 by Striking Falcon Rated M

One of my favorites. Kagome hears about it from a TV show and remembers an old story her grandfather told her. Then she starts looking into it and leaves the others behind to pursue it. Sesshoumaru hears about her doing it and looks into it. Naraku hears about what she's trying to do and helps her because without a seal she'll go insane and kill anything that moves, but Sesshoumaru uses a band made from his hair to seal the demon blood but she's already changed.


At one point she finds a polar bear demon cub and takes it to a demon village.
