Opo’s Dokuga

On an important quest, the delicate and demur Lady Battousai tripped delightfully through the lush verdant forest. Her mind was blissfully carefree and inane thoughts drifted through like white puffy clouds.

In the center of the overgrown path she traversed, a large, foul-smelling, grey furry lump impeded her progress. Preparing to hurdle it, she gathered her skirts indecently about her waist and coiled the muscle in her mighty loins. The grey bundle twitched and moved, halting her in mid-stride.

“Ho there!” cried the malodorous dingy mass, now revealed to be a many-toothed possum.

“I beg your pardon!” retorted the lady tartly, “I am no ho! I am still a maiden, untouched by man, demon or wretched beast! You will recant your false charge, or feel my booted heel!”

The possum gazed coldly upon her, unimpressed, for he was a wild thing and cared not about a woman’s dainty foot, booted or otherwise.

“The height of your skirt says much…” he observed. She quickly dropped her drapes.

He continued to address her. “This path is mine, and you may not pass without paying hefty tribute to me!”

The lady looked closer at the naked-tailed marsupial. “Would you perchance to be Opo?” she inquired.

The possum, taken aback by her knowledge and use of his name, tried to vehemently deny it. “I know no Opo!”

Lady Battousai was no more a fool than most, no less either. She saw his reaction to the name and knew at once this was the creature she sought to fulfill her quest.

“You are the keeper of Dokuga, the poison fang! It is the sword I seek to master!” she declared. “Surrender it peacefully and I may take you back with me, a pampered and spoiled mascot. Many maidens will love, worship and adore you. You will rule over the land of Chat with a free rein!”

“To whom do I have the pleasure?” the great possum asked, narrowing his eyes suspiciously. Many wanted to lay hands upon his mighty sword, and for all her pretty words and promises, he was not about to present his most precious possession to the digits of the first fair maid who asked.

“You have the pleasure of the Lady Battousai, one who has great skill with a sword.” She replied smugly.

“Not yet, I haven’t…” muttered the dirty-minded Opo. “I would like to experience your technique first-hand before entrusting the Dokuga into your dubious care!”

The lady was cautious. She knew the possum had quite the reputation for duplicity.

“Opo, I have heard tales of you being two-faced, speaking out both sides of your mouth, with a forked tongue. I warn you, no tricks!”

The possum blinked at her with wide innocent eyes.

“My lady, your words do wound me! I must protest! These are nothing more than exaggerated stories… It is the face of my sword that is double-edged! As for my tongue, it is the wrong part of my anatomy they have marked as forked. Alas, it is my fate to have a bifurcated member as do all males in possum society! It is the very nature of the beast!”

Lady Battousai, not convinced, continued to watch him warily. “I grow incredibly weary of your games, poser of death and decay, relinquish the sword unto me forthwith!”

Opo, realizing the nubile young maiden would be content with nothing less, released the sword from it’s tight confinement. The young lady’s virgin eyes grew wide in amazement and her mouth formed a perfect pink rosebud ‘O’.

“I didn’t think it would be so big!” she stammered. “I’m not sure I can take it all with one… I’m sure I’ll need both hands to get a good grip on that monster!”

Opo smirked, like he’d never heard THAT before! Showing all his sharp and pointy teeth in a lecherous grin, he invited her to grasp it at the hilt.

“I’ll teach you how to handle it well…” he whispered to her ear. The inexperienced maid quickly nodded her compliance and her consent.

The lesson began in earnest, both student and master eager to learn everything they could from the other.

Six weeks later, Lady Battousai emerged from the forest a new woman. Her time with the possum, well spent, left its mark on her. Her step was careful, yet purposeful.

She was still quite sore from the lessons the possum taught. He had her using muscles never used before.

She boldly strode to the land of Chat with a badge of honor pinned to her meager chest.

Unnoticed, a large grey shadow followed her footsteps doggedly. This land of fair young maidens she had described intrigued Opo. He would see it for himself, and perhaps make a home there.

I was looking at the Dokuga Dictionary. LOL, love your definitions. But you forgot to add one. Opossum Brothel. I was gonna try, but I have no idea how to define that other than "Ran By LadyB".
