Ahoy, Name's Ashes, love to read, write, and have a crazy artistic streak. Hate math with a passion and I used to work part time at an English school in the Aomori region of Japan. My japanese sucks so don't expect much help from me. I'm mostly just here to read and give advice... my fanfiction talent is -4. But I may try my hand at it again once my confidence swells a little bit more. (^_^)

Now I live with my fantastical husband Jex in SandLand. We travel a lot for his work so even though I've been back in the states for three years now I've been in so many American sub-cultures I still feel a little out of sorts with it.

Languages spoken: English, Ami-Deutsch, and crappy baby Japanese, I'm trying my hand at Swahili, French, and Russian too.

Thanks for reviewing I'Mori Aran! I'm glad you're liking the story so far. For now I want to make it intriguing and mysterious, but soon I'm going to start developing the plot more and you'll get an idea of where it's going. Thanks again!

Thanks for reviewing Windows on the West! As for Sesshoumaru - yea, he's kinda hiding himself from a truth he isn't ready to see yet. He's still got a ways to go before he's ready to accept what he feels... but here's the kicker - so does Kagome. She's really not ready to admit just how far her feelings for him and Inuyasha have changed, either. Wise she might be, all-knowing she is not.

You know, I don't know if there will really be a big moment, or a series of smaller moments, as it has been going, when it comes to the penultimate realization. I mean, either or fit in with real life - sometimes, its even the smaller realizations that change our lives more than the rare but big ones. At any rate, we'll see, eh?

Feedback from Ashes: You're totally right. It is the smaller things that make the greatest difference. There is however that moment of realizing all those little things all at once and sitting back to go: 'Whoa.'

Thank you for your review on Stealing Heaven, I appreciate the feedback. And thank you for the info about the shinto funeral rites, though, I'm sorry to say that this was something I'd already turned up with my research (this is why it's noted that they had no cousins to help with some of the 'intricate details' and later Kagome even makes mention of chopsticks and their grandfather's bones when Souta asks her to take care of helping their mother sort the ashes). I wanted to make reference & explain some of the finer points that way because I wasn't certain that I'd be able to explain things in a more in-depth way without bogging down the chapter. Despite having found that info already, I really do appreciate that you offered what you know. Thank you.
