Thank your for your review! Much appreciated! I'm not entirely sure how to go about answering it, so I'll do it in installments. Honolulu does have a shrine apparently. It kind of surprised me that so few Shinto shrines exist in the U.S. and of them, most, if not all, of them are in Hawaii.

As for the RL elements; I'm a stickler for realist fiction. I'll get as close as I can to actually putting the characters in a real setting. (You might want to google-map Sakura, Chiba prefecture, Japan--it really exists!) And, if you've seem my other stories, I have a huge A/N list going for most of them.

As for the family:
Sesshomaru's parents, Fusako and Touga, split when he was a baby. Touga remarried Izayoi and they had Inuyasha when Sesshomaru was five. Fusako ended up marrying Izayoi's doctor, Kazuo-san, and had Rin with him when Sesshomaru was ten.

Honestly, this story was written quickly, in a day, as a way to make sure you got your prompts for the exchange and not some random story XD I'm glad it turned out well. I just went on a whim with a story idea!

I just wanted to let you know that I appreciate the feedback you have given me. I am going to get the Hemingway app and will edit my previous chapters to see if I can clean it up a bit. One thing that I strongly agree with is my improper use of tenses. I really need to brush up on my grammar. Thanks for catching the misspellings as well - that made be feel awfully silly for not catching them. I hope you continue and enjoy reading my story!
