I dunno if anyone answered your Q about watermarks yet...
Theyre so people can't copy save you work and say it's theirs.
Like on myspace when you click the 'I agree with terms and policies' thing you're allowing them to use and pictures and/or artwork you post in your pics for their purpouses with your knowledge, giving you credit, or being paid. So people used photoshop and other programs to stick in a watermark over the picture making it unusable (<~~~ is that a word? o.0 it wounds funny...)
so yea.. sorry I kinda get off on tangents.. but that's what they're for ^.^

I went to buy Photoshop at the local Office Depot, however they wanted way to much for it ($800). Is there any place I can downloaded it at, or a simuliar program?

i may be wrong but i belive if you post artwork on deviantart.com they can watermark your stuff. i love that website. i always find the coolest stuff. but they are kinda picky about what u post. so beware...
