Rin is very young and doesn't trust anyone but Sesshoumaru until she meets Kagome. Sesshoumaru starts to view Kagome and a slighter extent her brother Souta

and I know one scene has her making lasagna and it turns out that sesshoumaru exists primarily on instant foods.
