Today I was invited to a funeral.... 11 Years, 3 Months ago

The funeral was for my boss' sister, who died four days ago. I rarely talk to my boss, barely get along with him, never met nor knew his sister. It was a strange morning. Just needed to tell someone.
Oh, and it wasn't to get closer to me. My boss is an 82 year old man who pretty much hates me but keeps me working because I do what I'm told. It was still strange.

The exact words were, "hey, you've been doing a good job recently. If you want, go home, get cleaned up and be back here around noon for the funeral."
Invited... "If you want..."
I don't understand that man, I might have a slightly dark sense of humor... for instance wearing a bright Hawaiian shirt to a funeral... but still. (No, I'm not going and no, I'm not wearing a Hawaiian shirt.)

I don't blame you. That is a disaster waiting to happen, from what it sounds like... whew. Yeah, keep your head down, nose clean, and go on with life.
Somehow, I think I'd get a kick out of someone wearing a Hawaiian shirt to my funeral!!

Yeah, though I already know the music that's going to be playing at mine, and what I'm going to be wearing in the casket.
Music: Imperial Death March (I'm a nerd sue me.)
Cothes: Blue and white beach scene Hawaiian Shirt, with sand colored shorts and some flip-flops.
Now that you mention it, I think I might make it mandatory in my will for people to be wearing beach clothes to my funeral... even if it's winter.

I did think about it for a second. Then again, I'd probably just fall asleep and get yelled at... again.
