Speaking of Izayoi. I had a friend who contemplated a fan fic of Izayoi leaving InuPapa to go with ... I think it was Miroku. But that was when she first got me into fan fic so it was a really long time ago. I have read one or two where Izayoi was with Sesshomaru before or after she was with InuPapa.

I've written SessMom and Inuyasha and had a lot of fun with it. She's got tons of potential for such a little-used character, perhaps for that reason--because she is almost a blank slate and there was so much speculation about her for years.
I write for a few communities on Livejournal, and they are a nice way to explore alternate pairings and genres I don't normally incorporate into my chapter fics. Probably Hachi/Kagome was one of the oddest I've read.
And, at the risk of sounding like a heretic, I love Sess/Rin. In fact, I'm currently working on a Sess/Rin/SessMom Polyamory One-shot. Don't hate me.

I agree with Lady B (Sorry for the sad rhyme there). I have a friend who thinks I am strange for liking SessKags and she like SessRin. So we really should respect everyone's opinion.
As for strange pairings.... Sesshomaru and Naraku... very strange... I happened to sumble across at fic once for this pairing and couldn't help but think: Weird

I would like to quickly say that we need to stay a bit more positive on this thread. There are plenty of pairings out there that might not agree with everyone, but we shouldn't publicly denounce them here especially since a preferred pairing of ours doesn't necessarily agree with others either. Let's respect their preferences and stay on the topic of alternate pairings that intrigue us instead.

your not the only one! i dunno why but that freaks me out on more levels then i care to think about, Sess/Rin
I hear you. SessRin disgusts me to no end, to me their relationship is more that of a father and a daughter. Sure I know all the incest around in fanfiction, but I'm never going to understand that. >_>
Inuyasha and Kagura would be a really interesting pairing, I had that once in a collaboration fic, but sadly that fic got onto an idefinite hold after just a start. Maybe I'll finish it myself some day if I have nothing better to do.

I read a short (I think it might have been a one-shot) story about and older Shippou and Kagome. It wasn't too bad actually. I guess if people can do Rin and Sess (which I HATE btw  ) then why not Shippou and Kagome? *shrugs*

Mines a threesome Kagome/Kouga/Sesshomaru
Done that one before and got a few more coming in the future for it. It's odd and only seen it once before in a fan fiction but i keep finding plots for it.  |

There's this site that I used to blog on quite often (I'm hoping to find time for it again... I wish I had more time), and I would visit other bloggers (?) from the site as well. One guy wrote short Inuyasha stories on his blog, and in one of his stories, he paired up Miroku and Kikyou together. Would that be considered an odd pairing...?

I like odd parings. For reasons I still have yet to identify, I just recently wrote a Naraku/Kagome one-shot. I've seen Inuyasha and Kagura before and found it quite interesting as well. Miroku and Kagura too!

yeah, I don't think it'd be easy to pair her off with anyone...
I've actually read a LOT of Kagome xovers, and Kagome's paired with a bunch of different characters from other anime, movies, shows, yada... The weirdest of those was probably Kagome/Haninozuka Mitsukuni (Hani-sempai, from Ouran Host Club?), it was pretty good, (I was a bit skeptical at first though...)

I think one of the weirdest I've seen is a Jaken/Sess. Yes, you read that right. Here's the twist, Sess didn't know it was Jaken he sexed. Appearently Jaken squat kappa apperance is not his true form, but a beautiful petite bishie, who sets up these unknown trysts for Sessie's benefit. Anything for this lord. 
Yeesh.
Second on my list was InuYasha/Kouga. With Kouga as the bottom and Inu in charge. Wow and ouch. |
