It is a day that matches at least the first three numbers in Pi. Since Pi is 3.141592653..., March 14 is designated as Pi day. On a normal year, the 'Pi minute' is at 1:59, but since this year is 2015, the Pi minute was 9:26. It is sort of like 'May the forth be with you' for math nerds.
