Lace (Chapter 14) - Tue 24 Jun 2014

I am so eager to find out what exactly Sesshoumaru is wanting from her...I have a general idea, but can he really expect her to comply so easily after what happened? And the situation with InuYasha is just chilling...I can't help but worry about him and hope he's alright, because whatever happened to Kikyo doesn't sound like something that was completely his fault.

Yes, good Kagome! Be fierce just like your tattoo- Sesshoumaru may be frightening, but she has her own strength as well. :)

itoe_hime (Chapter 14) - Tue 24 Jun 2014

a girl with a dragon tattoo?? what? she's a wanabe yakuza??

wonderbug (Chapter 12) - Mon 23 Jun 2014

And so it begins! Kagome's certainly out of her element here, but I hope she can adapt - and quickly. I really love how you have developed her character in this story - the deterioration of her sanity in the face of her obsession, the loss of her identity as she is forced to shift roles in order to survive. Just who is Kagome Higurashi? It really seems she doesn't know, and, man, does that pull at the heartstrings!

You've set Sesshoumaru up as the perfect predator. There's an ominous feeling in the air...can't wait to see how the plot thickens from here! :)

Lace (Chapter 11) - Sat 21 Jun 2014

Finally I have time to review-

Stella, oh my gosh! This story just keeps getting better and better. Your descriptions of InuYasha's state of mind and the hospital are wonderful. I have some ideas of what Sesshoumaru has planned, but I'll keep them to myself and see if I'm right. :) Loving your fast updates, and each one is still superb quality. <3

LoveAndFaith (Chapter 11) - Sat 21 Jun 2014

Liking the chapters, keep it coming.

wonderbug (Chapter 11) - Sat 21 Jun 2014

Well, this is an interesting development, to say the least. Sesshoumaru is truly terrifying in this story. That cryptic conversation about Inuyasha's role in Kikyou's death filled me with dread.

Just what he is playing at with this job offer, I can't quite fathom. I suppose he wants to keep her close so that he can control her - but to what end? I shudder a little to think of it. The fact that he's basically "bought" her is deeply troubling. Once again, she really has no choice but to go along with his demands.

I can't help but wonder, though, whether he's as purely Machiavellian in his motives as he would like to seem. I have this nagging feeling that there's something darker lurking beneath the surface dealings he has with Kagome. Maybe the obsession is not so terribly one-sided after all...

...Or I'm just getting ahead of myself! Either way, I'm very much intrigued to learn where you'll take the plot from here, Stella. This story is so gripping, and your talent for wordplay makes it all the more captivating! Thanks so much for sharing <3

wonderbug (Chapter 10) - Sat 21 Jun 2014

I pity Inuyasha, but he sure is scary... I love how Kagome focuses in on the wrongness of his eye color - the dark and dirty gold, as a contrast to Sesshoumaru's flawless gaze. And the way she could not help but react to the mention of him studying her on his laptop - that was just perfect. :)

I'm glad that Sesshoumaru intervened when he did. I could definitely see history about to repeat itself there. It does seem like Inuyasha killed Kikyou in his madness, though his desperate denial of it makes him all the more pitiable. And, maybe, he really is innocent after all. That would be deeply sad - a kind of parallel to Inuyasha and Kikyou's tragedy in the canon.

I see you've just posted another chapter - you're so awesome, Stella! Can't wait to read more!! :)

wonderbug (Chapter 9) - Sat 21 Jun 2014

Oh no, could it be - Inuyasha? D:

Kagome's wretchedness was heartbreaking to read. The emptiness she feels, the way she feels dead to herself. But traces of her obsession still linger - those grains of gold in the ashes. Beautiful imagery!

She certainly does seem a shell of her former self, just going through the motions at Le Roi Soleil. I wonder what this unexpected encounter will bring...?

So happy there's another chapter for me to read! :)

LoveAndFaith (Chapter 10) - Fri 20 Jun 2014

Keep it coming.

KShadeslady (Chapter 10) - Fri 20 Jun 2014

Yippee! Another chapter (bouncing up and down gleefully)! Abduction now! Poor Kags, it just keeps getting worse, that and being mistaken for Kikyo. Can't wait for the rest. Sent a young lady that got her work deleted from FF over here to post. So I came and started reading. Found you and favorited, of course! ;D Cheers!

Blossom34 (Chapter 10) - Fri 20 Jun 2014

Youre killing me with these hangers:-(

LoveAndFaith (Chapter 9) - Fri 20 Jun 2014

Cool, keep it coming.

Lace (Chapter 9) - Thu 19 Jun 2014

My heart broke for Kagome in these past two chapters. I haven't even been able to guess at what is going to happen next...as I read the end of chapter 9 I literally yelled, "Oh S**t." D: I was right to worry earlier...

The agony she experiences is palpable, like I could touch it and feel her shame of wanting what she should not ask for, for her own safety. My nerves are on end for her now, can't wait to see what happens next, Stella. :)

Itoe Hime (Chapter 9) - Thu 19 Jun 2014

oh no! Kags is getting kidnapped!!

Is it Sesshoumaru.... or Inuyasha...??!? eeks~

Either way, I hope Kagome does not end up like Kikyo or on the path of becoming like Kikyo!

beachvilla (Chapter 9) - Thu 19 Jun 2014

Can't wait to see what happens next.

Blossom34 (Chapter 9) - Thu 19 Jun 2014

More please

wonderbug (Chapter 8) - Thu 19 Jun 2014

I feel like my soul has been ripped out along with Kagome's. That single scream... *shivers*

How can it be, that when he finally gives her the contact she craves, it's somehow even crueler than when he denies her? I'm just blown away at the devastation of it. Masterful writing, Stella, truly. The "mayfly's dream" image may be favorite one thus far - such beautiful despair...

It's just so tragic, the way that she ended up letting herself be used by him after all (though indirectly, I suppose), and all for nothing. And of course he has to ever-so-coolly throw it in her face there at the end. :(

I can't imagine where the story will go from here, but I am anxious to find out! Hope you have a wonderful trip home! <3

LoveAndFaith (Chapter 7) - Tue 17 Jun 2014

So hot, keep it coming.

Lace (Chapter 7) - Tue 17 Jun 2014

I'm not sure how to take all of this heat- and it's raining and cool outside so I know it's not the weather. ;) another lovely chapter, your choice of words perfectly describe how it feels for Kagome to be drunk with desire. I must say, I'm really taken by how you write Naraku's character, and his interactions with the aristocratic Sesshoumaru and their willing victim. These men are clearly perilous to be around, but their charisma and overwhelming energy just emanates from them to the point that they are undeniable to Kagome.

Your writing is inspiring, Stella! <3

P.S.: male slash/threesomes are always welcome in my book, LOL.

wonderbug (Chapter 7) - Mon 16 Jun 2014

...Have I mentioned that I want to strangle Sesshoumaru? Because I do. He's such a cold-hearted prick. (...Even if he is terribly, inhumanly hot. D:) Oh well, I wouldn't have him any other way!

Gah, that part where Kagome is stuck in-between them... @_@ The most exquisite torture, to be laid bare before Sesshoumaru like that and to be unable to touch him. Such a perfectly executed scene - even sated, she's denied what she truly wants.

Poor girl, she's fallen into a terrible trap with these two. I wonder what's in store for her next...

(Aaand I feel like I need to take a cold shower. That chapter was smoldering, Stella! :) )
