Another use of fennel is to brew the seed into a apple juice colored tea to feed to a colicy baby, if they drink it they need it, and it breaks up the gas that causes the colic allowing them to burp or fart. This actually works very well as I have used it with several babies that suffered colic. It works on adults with severe gas as well. ;)
