OMG why haven't they told him Kagome's alive??? I can just see how it's going to go now, he's going to freak and think their playing some kind of game with him or something, after all she didn't take it all that well and he is not the man he once was... ooooh I hope everything works out! Keep up the awesome job!

Please please please keep up the good work and update soon! I believe this is honestly one of the BEST stories I've ever read and I find that I can't keep checking the website enough for another update.

Very moving chapter, excellently and masterfully written. Pls update soon--I am looking forward to their reunion. Kagome is going to have to heal Maru from his mental injuries and plan to recover their child as well as get their revenge on Onigumo. And I'll bet the resourceful Yasha is the catalyst to all these events.

I realized my last review wasnnt much of a review but more fangirl based. Lol. At least now I know in what condition Sess is and glad to know what the heck was going on between Inu and his captain.  It was great however I had a problem with one sentence in the chapter. On the second paragraph where you put, "It was weird though, despite how knew inside her mind", I did not really comprehend the sentence very well. I got the jest of it but the wording was weird for me.  Other than that it was awsome!!! I cant wait till the next chapter!

Snap out of it Kagome. There are such things as betrayers. Hopefully meeting Maru again will bring some kind of life back to him. I'm sure the horrors that are trapped in his mind are enough to cause anyone to become a recluse.

Very much enjoyed this chapter, and was relieved to get such a speedy update. I was ACTUALLY chewing my nails. Ick. I'm overly eager to see what will hapen when Sesshomaru and Kagome meet. I'm hoping we wont have to wait long at all in order to see them together again. I'm wondering how Sesshomaru will respond to seeing Kagome again.... but I'm confused. Does he know she is alive yet, or no? I wasn't able to make that out in the story. Thanks.

Hey Lady O, sorry to be so abrupt last night, leaving such a wimpy review. I have no other excuse for it but that this story has really taken on a REAL life quality about it. Don't get me wrong, all of your fics are just so realistic but this, this one is just so compelling that I actually could feel the raw emotions of it. I was truly disturbed by what I read for a few hours afterward and PJ said that's why she can't read these types of fics.

I know, you sit there, and you look at what you write and probably think you just don't see how your stuff is that good but, I'm telling you, this hits the charts for realism. It's as likely a thing to happen today, what with all that's going on in our government. It's frightening really, to think that this can and has probably happened.

Anyway, the whole interaction between Yasha and Kagome was just so intense. I took Kagome's perspective and could actually believe how betrayed and angry she was feeling toward Yasha. I honestly think that if the Captain wasn't there we would have seen just who the better fighter was, and my bet would be on Kagome.

she didn't live all these years without being raped because those men took pity on her. He may be a man but she was trained by Maru and those skills coupled with her adrenaline flowing at max through her body, she could have very well put him down. My aunt, a small, thin barely 5 ft woman literally took down a 6 ft, 200 some pound man and threw him out of their tavern for messing around with her toddler. She made him a laughing stock from all who witnessed it. You don't mess around with Em.

I also can see how no one would expect to find Maru alive. Those who investigated the aftermath would have no reason to believe it possible that he could be alive after seeing such carnage. I, myself, had a hard time believing it could be possible that he was still alive after what you were decribing but there would only be two ways for that information to go and one was for him to be alive or that they actually caught someone, but if that had happened there would have been news of it.

So, he's living not too far from their base. I guess it's a blessing they're considered a bunch of misfit troublemakers. I really liked that it was Yasha that found him. That was definitely one of their gods stepping in and it's a good thing Yasha has Captain that so patient with his temperment.

I have to say that I can't wait for the reunion. I gather that Maru knows that she's alive and is patiently waiting for her to be properly prepared for seeing him. I do have to wonder though how Kagome can help with solidifying their case against Onigumo. But she was to be the girl's bridesmaid so, who knows?  JEN

Oh, how I thank God I waited to read this when my husband went to work. Lady O, you are one phenominal writer. You hit every single nerve inside me and ripped it in shreds. I've read only one other that was so descriptive and you are definitely just as talented. The visuals, as well as the verbal abuse, the psycological torture along with the physical...and he's alive!?!

First of all let me get out this overwhelming, and uncharaceristic use to gush: I am such a fan of all of your fictions. You keep everyone so well in character, while giving them your own personal flair for each story. You plots are well thought and intricate. Each chapter leaves me craving the next.

This work, is no different from the others in that respect. Although each piece is very unique. Infact I dont think i've ever read anything remotely close to this fiction. I cant wait for more.

I really appreciate how in character every one is. Like I said before, you keep characters true, but at the same time, they fit the story... like the bubbly Kagome wouldnt fit in this fiction, but she's just as kagome would be given more maturity, and all of these experiences.

I'm so on the edge of my seat with this chapter... I get the feeling Maru has changed a lot. I'm also wondering why he hasnt tried to contact Kagome unless for some reason he doesnt know she's back, which I find hard to believe. You paint him as the kind of man who finds a way to be in the know. Its been seven years, so maybe he's moved on in his life and doesnt want to dredge up his or her past and possibly bring one or both of them more pain. And why isnt he around anymore, unless he's jumped off the grid for some reason?

Sooo many question I cant wait to have answered. Hope to enjoy another information filled update soon!

It breaks my heart to imagine what he might be like now... Broken and a shadow of the man he once was before? Is he physically changed? How will he interact with Kagome once they see each other again after seven long years?
