Your story makes me laugh everytime I read it. I know what it feels like to lose a parent. I have recently lost my father last November. All I can tell you is to make the best of the time you have together.

Oh, Amber, I am so sorry to hear about your father. I do not know the pain of losing a parent, but I do know the pain of losing someone very close. It takes time to find the new you after illness and death so dramatically marks your life. You're never truly the same, but the pain can allow you find the strength you never knew you had. I hope you can enjoy the time you have left with your dad to it's fullest.
