I've been gone for a few years, and it seems like everyone that I knew before whose stories I read is...gone? Like Skye seems to be gone and so do many others. Who is still here?

It isn't dead, no. But fandoms change as the years go by and the canon ends. People grow up, move on to different fandoms, have their spare time eaten away by this dreaded thing called real life... It's a natural thing.

But some of us are still here, hanging on. ;D
