OI! i'm pretty sure this fic is complete, all i remember is that it was AWESOME, and i think complete. it's not Knight of Disorder's What's In a Soul. I'm so sad that i don't remember it well i just loved it. I remember kikyo takes her soul and kagome basically is like NO I WILL NOT DIE! and she ends up willing her own soul into existence.

i honestly dont remember. I remember her soul leaving her body, and kagome dying, or more so in the process of dying. Sesshomaru was there and thought it was a shame that she was dying, but kagome surprised him in living, and Kikyo was enraged that she didnt die. I dont think Inuyasha was a bad guy but he wasnt good.

It sounds like one of demonlordlover's old one on her yahoo group. The Name escapes me but it was four very long chapters.

The story starts with a wish for kikyo to live and the jewel using kagome's soul to do it. Kagome builds herself a soul using her memories and feelings. Then Midoriko demands that Kagome or Kikyo replace her in the jewel. Kagome volunteers over the others protests. Kagome gets Sesshomaru to be the protector of the jewel.

They find out the jewel was a messed up transportation spell and Midoriko wants to annihilate all yokai. Kagome kills Midoriko but messes up the timeline in the process. She and Sesshomaru end up on a different timeline where Kagome didn't exist (Kagome is still in the jewel - Sesshomaru performed a soul binding to prevent her from fading that forces her to stay in the jewel for 600 years).
