Hi, everyone~! I just became a member of Dokuga this week and I've been perusing the awards to find some really good canon fics. I absolutely love the stories where Kagome has to survive the court of the Western lands, aided by Sesshie of course XD.

Can anyone recommend any good fics of this category?

I've read Children of the Gods by Kate and absolutely loved it, along with How to Escape an Arrange Marriage (in 10 difficult steps).

I don't mind any ratings, but I usually refrain from reading darkfics. Angst is fine though, and I'd love to read about Kagome bashing the other ladies at court XD.

The fanfic "www.dokuga.com/fanfiction/story/5688/1 by Lyra is really fabulous so far! It isn't complete, but its updated frequently and 179 chapters in, so I'm sure you'll have fun playing catch up!

I don't know if you've read any of her stories, but Forthright writes amazing tales in general. www.fanfiction.net/s/5348115/1/Unspoiled, specifically, deals with court on occasion, and youkai 'customs', so you may enjoy taking a gander at that.
