Sesshomaru is cursed to be a dog. He makes it to the modern times where kagome takes him in. I know there's a lot of Fic's like this but what stands out to me is jaken ends up following sesshomaru and hiding out in the dog house where kagome finds him.

That almost sounds like Second Chance by Striking Falcon. But I think there was more Inuyasha involvement than Jaken.
