I forgot the title of this story. Kagome is cursed and she is a black dog who is found by Rin. She stays with them as they travel back to kaeda's village.
Scene in the last couple chapter is, the group stay in a cave and Sesshoumaru goes off somewhere. Wolves surround the cave and Kagome and Jaken defend Rin till Sesshoumaru arrives. Sesshoumaru becomes increasingly worried about Kagome's "mindless" barking after a wolf is killed.

I am almost positive it is Gone to the Dogs by Tally Mark, a fic that Honey-Bee helped me find once!

The mindless barking, the cave, the wolves.... yep, pretty sure it is this one.
