I'm looking for the Sess/Kag story where he desires Kagome as a mate but before confronting her he seeks a way to change her humanity and turn her into a demon. He learns of a potion that requires the leaves (I think) of a unique tree. In order to get to the tree he has to undergo a series of trials as a human; after each stage he loses the use of one of his senses. By the time he passes these tests and has everything needed to turn Kagome into a demon he realizes that it no longer matters that she's human.

Any help is appreciated.

I remember this story being mentioned in a forum a while back. I think the story is Kagome's Power by Tiki Rane Gobell
