Kagome, Sango, Kikyo are agents transporting Rin & Kaede across country after her parents have been killed. She has a long standing relationship with Sess who lives in Kansas (i think) and they meet up with him and his posse to help get Rin to safety. Some other key points, Rin doesn't talk after her parents death, until she meets Sess. Kikyo is terrorfied of demons, and thinks that Sess is trying to hurt Kagome. Hojo is the ladies boss who sends them their assignments and the route to get Rin to safety.

I thought it was Warriors of the West by Hariann, but that isn't it....

Darn....I remember reading something like this but I don't remember the title I think the author believed the fanfic failed to draw enough interest so she/he decided to stop writing it. That's sad cause I enjoyed reading it.
