I have been searching to remember the name of this story and am hoping someone can help me out. Kagome ends up helping as humans and demons become infected with what ends up being a plague. Rin gets infected and Kagome goes to Sesshoumarua Shiro to help. She starts administering the vaccine. Sesshoumaru ends up getting it also. It is speculated that this is why there are no demons in Kagomes Era. Its a longer fic and I don't remember what site it's on. I know it had a more mature rating and I also think Ryukotsusei's relative ends up being the one to start the spread of the disease.
