It is driving me crazy trying to remember the name of this sesh/kag fic. the two groups are traveling together, to defeat naraku i think, anyway, sesshomaru decides kagome is an ideal mate because she is the alpha of her pack and sesshomaru gives her a deer in this one i think that she doesnt know what the symbolism is.

I know the story you're talking about, but I can't for the life of me remember which one it is. I think it might have it archived but it's really hard to look up certain keywords, especially since people like to use the phrase "deer in headlights."
