So the only part that I can remember is that Sesshoumaru's mother takes an interest in Inuyasha. Something about him looking just like his father. Obviously, Sesshoumaru himself is mad that Inuyasha is with his mother but Kagome keeps telling him essentially that it's not that bad.

Past that I don't remember much, except that I enjoyed the story as a whole.

Any help is much appreciated!

Is it "Lord Charming" by forthright?

That fic has Sesshomaru's mother taking an interest in Inuyasha--telling him stories about his dad--and I believe both Sesshomaru and his mother comment on how much Inuyasha looks like his dad.
