I really don't remember much but I'm hoping that something rings a bell. I think that Naraku has both Kagome and Kikyo and is making Inuyasha choose. Of course, he saves Kikyo and as Kagome is falling, she accepts that she is going to die. She is still alive when she hits the ground and with her acceptance of her fate, her bones heal. She is "reborn" and is whole/alive and with great power.
