What I remember is Sess's sister had a baby and then died. Sess has to find a mother for it to bond with or the baby will die, he chooses Kagome and she agrees to be his mate and mother of the child. Sess's mother helps. I know its not much but I loved this story and can't remember its name or the author. Thanks for the help..
