The story happened in the modern time. The first chapter is about a child Kagome followed Sesshomaru into the wood and saw him talked to Naraku. Later on she thought that she dreamt it all up.
In later chapter, A grownup Kagome was walking home and Inuyasha shown up to save her from an attacker.
