I think it's got to do with the fanart plugin and how buggy it is. we'll have to think about the best way to tackle it.

*waves arms* LuxKen27's suggestion is a good one. I have my eye on several possible art noms, but have no idea if they are viable.

A suggestion - is there any way to list all the eligible art the way you've done the fic? I can't really tell what's eligible from browsing through the galleries (no date stamps besides on comments?). That might be why art nominations are so low in comparison with the fics...

almost everyone knows, unfortunately, a few don't so -

you can't nominate your own work; you can't make fake names & use them to nominate your own work. the on-line forms you fill out keep track of ip to let us double check in case of funny business. doing this is tampering with the awards system and the punishment is banning. please check out the forbidden list, it's been updated accordingly :sigh:

by the way, nobody's still working on the regular site nomination forms, with any luck it'll be good to go by the next quarter.

Where can I see what has already been nominated?

nominations are done blindly here. when the nomination forms close we'll announce the nominees.

I was just wondering because a fic that was updated today had an author's note stating that her fic had been nominated, and I was wondering how she found out. I guess it is possible that the person who nominated it told her.

first, please take a look at the forbidden list and avoid nominating 1st place winning stories into the categories where they won those awards.

second, as a public service, I'm going to maintain a list of the stories that reached the maximum category limit of 4. as per the official rules of the dokuga award, a story can only appear in at most 4 categories. afterward all further nominations of that story must be rejected. there are several already creeping near that limit. one already has:

"Wisteria" - achieved nomination into four categories already, congrats to the author

Noms started on Apr. 5th, when do they end?

Then there is a week off, then voting begins, yes?

2nd Quarter
Period of Eligibility: January 1 to March 31 (of current year)
Nomination: Starts 1st Sunday of April and runs 4 weeks
Polling: Starts a week after the end of Nominating and runs 2 weeks

sorry I forgot the details - nominations run from Apr 5 to May 2, then it's a week off and voting follows from May 10 to May 23

wow, in the course of a week we received as many nominations as we got last quarter the categories are looking good but a few do need a little more attention:
