Uh, can someone please tell me what the difference between DAIyoukai and TAIyoukai is???

Basically it all comes down to how to read a specific kanji correctly in a given context, but I guess it's also a matter of preference to some.

There have been several threads where people have expressed their arguments on which way of reading the kanji is right (Such as this thread)...

But I think the readings are best explained here!

I personally have always assumed they mean the same thing. When I looked it up through google, I was directed to a few links that originate from Dokuga and this seemed to be the clearest answer: Link
