Okay so, I've been a patron of Dokuga for some time... even long before I got my account. But I can't figure out the name. I mean is "Dokuga" an acronym of something? Or is it something so glairingly obvious that I'll feel like an idiot once someone tells me? Just wondering. It drives me crazy that I can't figure it out. Thanks all.

I think "Dokuga" is Japanese for "Poison Fang"... right? I think I read that somewhere once. I may be wrong.

I've been wracking my memory back to the days before the site got started, and it seems to me that is what it means... at least according to Miss K.

Then again, I'm rather old, so the memory COULD be going too!!

not that google translate is the highest authority on japanese, but I just checked and according to them 'Poison fang' does indeed translate to 'Dokuga'.

Heh, I'm glad I'm not the only one who had NO idea where the community name came from.

lol this thread is like group therapy for me. Do you guys have any idea how much this has driven me crazy?! Knowing I'm not the only one who is completely stumped is a relief.
