All right folks, I received word yesterday that Lady Safire's home caught fire and has been burnt through. She currently has a hole in her living room, a hole in her kitchen and an entire wall is missing. Thankfully all got out okay and nobody was hurt. They are all now staying at various places until they can get what they need to fix the house.

As many of you know, Safire is hard up on her luck, and yet she still keeps going. She's incredibly sick with Lymphodema and they think something's wrong with her heart as well. As such she cannot work and until a year ago, her husband was laid off. now he works part time for walmart but money is tight up for them and they were going to have a tight Christmas, but not anymore. Anything they woudl have spent will now have to go into repairs for the house.

I am not collecting money if that's what you think. No. despite it all Safire seems to prevail and is a constant source of cheer.

But i think now it's our turn to cheer her up. Inu_tiger_luver is collecting notes of cheer and joy for her and we're going to mail off a package of support for her, positive words to help her and her family get through what is supposed to be joyous season.

We're looking for little notes of about 100 words. Just a kind word to say we're thinking of her.

Oh my gosh, I will defiantly be sending you a note. Thank you for posting this and letting us know. It always such a sad thing when something happens to one of our members we are such a close community.

I know there are rules about bumping threads and all that, but I think this is a really important one.

We're still collecting messages for Lady Safire, just a word of support for her and her family as they deal with their crisis this holiday season. While all of us are in our cozy homes keeping warm and celebrating, be it Christmas, Hannukah or another religious holiday, she and her family are scattered because their home caught fire.

Thank you to all who sent in letters, drabbles, jokes, or pictures, they are all so wonderful! I am sure Lady Safire will appreciate every single one of them! If any one still wants to send her a message you can still send it to me it just wont get to her with the rest of the letters. those will be be compiled and left for her in a massive forum post sometime in the near future. Once again thank you too all who have already sent in something for Lady Safire in her time of need!
