Thank the gods she is awake...not that she feels any better, but it's something. *shivers* I'll say it again, your writing is so vivid that it gives me the chills - and that is good. Lovely imagery, Lace. I'm especially fond of this phrase/metaphor here: "shattering the nightmare into droplets of memory like the sheen of sweat on her brow". It's just amazing!

This is really, really interesting.

I love how you have described everything, and the words you use. It's just enough to make it lyrical and colorful, but not purple if you know what I mean. And it also really helps in painting a disconnect between the mind and the world.

I'm really curious to see how Sesshomaru will play into all of this. Update soon.

I always thought Mistress Centipede was creepy, but this...this is truly terrifying - the violence, the repulsiveness. It's like Kagome's being slowly flayed alive as she's assimilated into this monstrous creature.

...I hope she wakes soon...

Ye gods....this was so vivid that it actually made me shiver... I can't praise you enough for your word choice! You have the ability to induce emotions with a scant 100 words per chapter and that is a huge feat. Bravo!

Oooo, what an intriguing idea, Lace! I was hooked right from the start, ever since I saw  that lovely and macabre 'crow feet' metaphor about the doc's facial lines. Lol. Dun mind me, I pay equal attention to writing style and plot, maybe even more to style, and I likes yours as much as your plot - which is so interesting despite only so few chapters in. I have a few guesses about those dark, gruesome, illusory things that haunt her, but I'll wait to see if I'm right or terribly wrong. I love stories that stimulate the mind so much!
