 I've a feeling and quite a good one at that, that our dearest Sesshou is the main culprit/ villain here and the mer-prince, the misunderstood hero. What do you say, am I correct ? :) 

Loved the chapters and a big hug for belting them out regularly even when you're busy. I must admit I'd a very vague and misunderstood concept of the display the mer prince presented kagome with, a few chapters back. I was like, whats a hole? O_o and why is it there ? I know, I know sounds totally clueless of me, but in my defense I was picturing the display in reverse position that is the position someone is in when they're semi-reclining sort of and leaning on their elbows backwards. So yeah, the next chappie cleared all my doubts and the visual in ma head was clear ~blushes~ Poor kagome getting stuck in those situations! :D

Hi there, loving this story so far.  But are you aware you have disallowed anonymous reviews? I have been wanting to leave a review for a while but forgot my password and I finally motivated my lazy butt to create a new one.

Anyhow, you're doing a great job, not least of which is evidenced by the fact that I'm loving your Merfolk.  I usually shy away from stories with lots of OCs but I'm loving all your OCs here! 

Even before the scene where the Western Lord was shown being so heartless to his mother, I found myself rooting for the Mer-King -- love his reaction to watching Kagome after he made his display in the sand! So proud but heartfelt at the same time.  At first I thought, "I shouldn't get my hopes up here, there is no hope for the Mer-King since after all this is posted on Dokuga and Sesshoumaru will get the girl" ... but then I realized that you seem purposefully to have avoided using the actual name for either the Mer-King or the Western Lord.  (Unless I'm wrong, I don't think you have used the name for the Western Lord once yet).  After the scene with the mother in the dungeon (or captivity cave) as well as all the "blood in the water" allusions, I'm thinking there is still a chance for our Mer-King to emerge victorious, and indeed perhaps the Mer-King, not the current Western Lord, could be Sesshoumaru himself.  (Either way, I love your Mer-King!) 

Great job creating the folklore and I think the fact that Sango was saved by the Merfolk as a child is a wonderful touch.  Very intriguing as to what is this mysterious memory that Kagome can't quite recall.

As for the fact that you don't have a Beta - are you looking for one?  I only note this because you asked but for example here is one correction from Ch 21 - "She forced her way passed villagers" - should be "past" instead.

From just read this chapter I definitely know that  DaiYoukai monster is not Sesshomaru, Kagome would not want to be with that evil monster! Keep it coming.

Hmm... *thinks for a sec* Ummm... one question: Why is Sesshomaru being such a douchebag?!  *LOL* Okay, okay... I'm totally intrigued now.  Are you sure this is a Sess/Kag story?  'Cause there's no way Kags will fall for the sort of male who treats his own mother so poorly!  I'm like... speechless!  And I thought I made him out to be an asshole in my fic... holy crap you got me beat - awesome freaking job cuz I am, again, floored!  Holy freakin' crap. SMDH And I still don't trust Jaken... they will have to actually catch somebody else in the act of treachery.  Maybe he's setting this poor Hito fella up to take the focus off himself!  Ha! Totally possible... Dude I am so done trying to guess what happens next *LOL* I've been blindsided the last 2 chaps.

Okay so freeze - Jaken is a traitor?!  *jaw drops* The horror!  What the...?!  Yes, I'm very aware you didn't say a name *LOL* but who else could it be?  He's the only one close to Sess... AND he's a kappa - water youkai.  Wooow... my mind is totally blown right now!!  How dare that little SOB (or anybody for that matter) betray Sesshomaru?  And how come he cannot detect the deceit?  I am shocked & appalled *LOL* not to mention totally floored by this twist - GREAT JOB!!! Awaiting the next update on the edge of my seat!
