I'm a bit lost... Exactly what is this curse? I see no descriptions, nothing to tell me how the kingdom is affected. I like the idea, and the play on a fairy tale in the story, but I see nothing wrong in the snippets you're writing about the kingdom. Also, the witch just managed to walk into the castle where the King hates her? How did she get past the guards, or convince them to let her in? Why would Kagome just automatically talk to her and take everything she says as truth? And why did Kagome think that her father, the King, would tell her details about this curse when he hadn't before, and that she had what it took to break the curse BEFORE the witch showed up?
I'd love to see some other facts in here besides what's going on in the present. Show some of the suffering that the kingdom is going through, or at least elaborate on what this curse is, maybe?
