Oh, InuPapa, you are right. Things started going wrong way before INuyasha ever came into the picture.

I have a feeling that the truths that INuyasha is about to be given at the hands of his father, are going to be just a bit much for the   poor hanyou can take. 

Interesting. Is the cause Sesshomaru's destruction Kagome's own destruction? Or is he envisioning himself dead along with her? And to expand a bit on what I said last chapter, because it fits here too, since Sesshomaru could only find acceptance from Shizuka, he may pull him closer while pushing the others away. For the first time ever in 200 years, he feels he cannot trust those closest to him, which is bound to cause more than a few problems. Though I guess sometimes it is better to err on the side of caution. 

Hmmm but only Shizuka has seen the full display of her aura and the power meld. Yes, the twins saw the release of some of her power during sex, but not the way it settles around her at all times, not the true vastness of it. Yoshio is probably still terrified over that little faux paus he just made. I'm wondering if he is just being overly cautious here or not. I'm still a little wary of the twins and their earlier silence since it is apparently out of character for them to do so. 

Well, that should clear that matter up. If he is willing to kill even Yoshio, no one is immune. If his little statement at dinner didn't get through to any eavesdroppers, this surely did.

Uh-oh, that most definitely not the best thing to have said to Sesshomaru. Though he may not kill you, expect dooom.

Wow, Sesshomaru almost sounded...frantic in this chapter. He is so desperate not to make his father's mistakes with Izayoi, even though the only thing similar Kagome and Izayoi is that they are both human. He needs for Kagome to make this stand against his mother, and though there will be enjoyment on his end from flaunting his very human mate in front of Sessmama, this need he has for her to prove her strength and worth seems to be more important.

Goodness, Sessmama's name is mouthful. XD I like how the council keeps reaffirming that they are going to stand behind him no matter what. I think that with everything that is going on, all of the memories that are about to be brought into the light, Sesshomaru needs something that has and will remain constant. Even when he is being a super sneaky puppy like now,

Oh sneaky Sesshomaru, trying to buy some time. It also speaks to the loathing he holds for his mother if he is willing to break what is probably millenias worth of tradition to keep her away, from him and from Kagome.

Ruh-roh, that's not good. I can only imagine that Sessmama was none to pleased at the thought of losing her titles, but probably no more than Sesshomaru who doesn't have much time to come up with some kind of game plan. At least she has no way of knowing that Kagome is human yet.

I just had the mental image of Sesshomaru as a teenager reading a note his mom left him before throwing it away, complete with eye rolling. Obviously, Sesshomaru, just  like the honey badger, doesn't give a sh*t.

Many, many enemies it seems, and not all of them demon. I do wonder if this chat about Izayoi is having a negative effect on Kagome, pointing out what can happen to her, instead of pointing out how more than likely her life will not end up that way. And that damnable pillow book is probably not going to help in the least bit.

Now Kagome understands why it is important that she make her place here, build her own reputation, because if she doesn't she will appear to make Sesshomaru weak and there are those who would take her out to rid him of this weakness. I have a feeling that living at the shiro is going to be tough before the other youkai get it into their heads that she can fend for herself. However, this does bring Rin to mind. As of right now, she is just an ordinary human child. Maybe that is what keeps her safe, the fact that she is just a child not yet of birthing years. :ponders:

OK, so obviously Yoko thinks better of Kagome than Izayoi, which helps settles the confusion of last chapter. I think too that the more that the differences between Kagome and Izayoi are brought up, hopefully the less likely she is to fall prey to Izayoi's pillow book thinking there situations the same. But I completely LOL'ed at Sesshomaru's belief that izayoi was a tramp/godless woman, when he has multiple concubines. He may not have sired any children with them, but it doesn't make them any less a tramp. Just tramps with a fancy title.

It almost seems like Yoko is a wee bit dissapproving here, or maybe it's pity. I'm not entirely sure yet. "Sesshomaru-dono manipulates you; he is cunning, just as his father was cunning, but knowing this will not be enough to keep you away. Like that woman." I keep running it through my head trying to figure it all out. I mean it is a given that Izayoi was not welcomed with open arms, but so far Yoko has made no comparisons in her mind to the two of them other than they both love/loved demons. Maybe this will be further explained later.

I'm wondering what it is Yoko thinks he doesn't believe. The fact that he has a tight control over his youki, or that that control is a strength in itself and needs more power, more strength? 

Hmmm...I wonder who else Sesshomaru killed with that sword. I am really excited to hear Sesshomaru's history from Yoko, because she has not met Sesshomaru herself, so I am interested to see just how much she knows and what is hearsay. Though I highly doubt she would lie to Kagome, but misinformation can be just as catastrophic as a lie.

Yoko, Kagome has this way of changing everything around her. Mainly because neither societies really know what to do with her. Thankfully Yoko is also telling Kagome to get used to sex being a public thing because there are so many other things that hold more importance than worrying over that. And besides, she really didn't care in the heat of the moment anyway and actually enjoyed it. I guess it's only after she orgasms that she becomes a prude. Ok, that came out a lot harsher than I meant it to, but I stand by it.

Once again, there is that comparison to the Lower House. I am really interested in knowing the significance of it now, because all thoughts about it and Yoko's belief that is not approriate makes me think it's a place you really do NOT want to be.

Twin #2, a word of advice, never bring up the mother from hell after sex. It really ruins the mood. I can just see Kagome being all "O.o WTF just happened here?" Stupid twins. I guess we need to find out what Sessmama wants now that the smutty goodness is over.
