Borommakot (Chapter 22) - Sun 11 Apr 2021

I think this is the most creative Sesshomaru making it to the modern times fic I have read. I liked RosieB's Besides You in Time but you are just more unapologetically heart wretching and more consistently in character. It makes so much sense he has PTSD and isn't perfectly okay. Sesshomaru just up and leaving for a few years is very in character but dang I am dying to figure out how the valve got out and how he healed. (I think this is where I shameless point out it's never too late to write a sequel...)

The story taking place mostly in Japan is mostly surface level as I'm pretty sure they don't have Social Security numbers and trucks / dirt roads are uncommon.

The details you put in regarding medical was well done; super well researched if not accurate frim your experience. I enjoyed these details immensely..

Thank you for sharing this amazing story and I look forward to reading the rest of your work.

Borommakot (Chapter 4) - Sun 11 Apr 2021

Wow. Dang that is deep. I can't wait to see more of your wise Sesshomaru. Very glad I found your story.

Snoynuf (Chapter 22) - Tue 11 Aug 2020

Here it is, take it, my poor weeping heart. This story was so beautifully written and what an emotional rollercoaster. I just cried my eyes out. Whew

Carlyn (Chapter 21) - Tue 09 Jun 2020

YEEESSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!

Carlyn (Chapter 20) - Tue 09 Jun 2020

I really appreciate how you're not rushing the entire experience of hypnotherapy into one session as some writers might have. Im not sure what I think about hypnosis as it is, but I am positive that a once through doesn't workout like that. Not only are you using several sessions to trace through the experience, but you also noted that he had been preparing for this journey into his past for the week prior. Those are important details, in my opinion (FYI I have an MA in clinical psych, so I'm not talking out my a** here. Lol)

Carlyn (Chapter 19) - Tue 09 Jun 2020

Hahaha! Can I just say, I think it's so cute that sesshomaru has such an affinity for sweets. It really is! Also, how does a practically immortal, self-regenerating demon get sick so much? Poor guy can't catch a break! Lololol! It's sweet to see kagome always caring for the now-fragile demon lord from her past. Lol

Carlyn (Chapter 18) - Tue 09 Jun 2020

Oooohhhweee! That was a fun ride. Im glad these two finally worked some things out. Ive been wondering because it seemed like neither of them really appreciated what she'd given him the last time. Although, to be fair, they CLEARLY had more pressing matters to deal with, and still do. I love this story. You're a wonderful writer.

Carlyn (Chapter 16) - Tue 09 Jun 2020

Poor sesshomaru. He was so lonely and broken. All this with no memory of his greatest trauma!

Carlyn (Chapter 15) - Tue 09 Jun 2020

Good GOD woman, you've got ME stressed out. What is HAPPENING with sesshomaru? Something tells me his back story is going to make me cry my eyes out..

Carlyn (Chapter 11) - Mon 08 Jun 2020

Omg the idea of sesshomaru in such a weakened state is utterly heartbreaking. And the way he so deeply wants kagome to love him brings tears to my eyes. This is honestly amazing work. I can't stop reading...

Carlyn (Chapter 7) - Mon 08 Jun 2020

Wow. Those are some powerful emotions coming from sesshomaru. I cannot help but wonder, what in the world happened to him??

Carlyn (Chapter 5) - Mon 08 Jun 2020

Im sorry I haven't commented until now. But this story is amazing. Ive found myself so engrossed in it that I forget to comment.

Drosselmeyer (Chapter 7) - Mon 28 Oct 2019

This is the story I come back to over and over again when I need a comforting read. Still love it so much and I appreciate how new things jump out at me each time I read it. When Sesshoumaru tells Kagome about the first time he saw Inuyasha, I laughed. It's very cute and appropriate For his temperament.

Drosselmeyer (Chapter 22) - Mon 30 Sep 2019

For the love of all that is holy...this WRECKED me. I bawled, I laughed, I gasped, and then I freaking cried some more. You gave Sesshoumaru a smidge of humanity while still maintaining his otherness. It was so real and didn’t shy away from the graceless realities of life. Did I say I cried? I CRIED. There were parts where I felt like I was dying. There were parts where you authentically made Sesshoumaru precious—which is about impossible—and it still worked with his character. I absolutely loved this. Thank you.

Goldie Fawn (Chapter 22) - Sun 08 Sep 2019

Holy cow, I cried so much reading this. Damn! It was so good.

anna1989 (Chapter 22) - Wed 05 Sep 2018

When I got to read the last chap.. I could not believe it was time for the ending

I was in angst the entire time while reading

I wish you had written an epilogue

Thank you for sharing this story

It was perfection

Arc-an Angel (Chapter 22) - Tue 05 Jun 2018

Thank you so much for writing this story. It took me through a variety of emotions and when I had finally finished reading it, I leaned against the shower wall and thought about life. Thought about how much people take for granted from day to day, especially regarding loved ones. It made me want to be more aware and appreciative of the present moment and my connection to the world in general. Stories like these are gifts from the Universe and I'm so happy it moved through you to spread this message.

Nile (Chapter 22) - Fri 02 Jun 2017

I've read this several times over the years and just re-read it again. I still get teary-eyed. Just a wonder piece of writing. Thank you.

Johann (Chapter 1) - Sat 18 Mar 2017

I can't believe that I only discovered this piece of gem when it's been sitting here for so long already. Can't describe it in words...it's that good.

sonja hand (Chapter 22) - Fri 10 Mar 2017

Excellent....

Any more words would be blasphemy.
