Noacat (Chapter 1) - Tue 24 Nov 2009

You forgot the rampant sexism and the abusive nature of the Bella/Edward relationship. Otherwise, a perfect deconstruction of Twilight. I kind of love you now.

SunLynx (Chapter 1) - Tue 24 Nov 2009

I had promised myself that I would never read the teeny-bopper drivel known as Twilight because the few things I had heard about it made me suspicious of its' ability to actually carry a story.  Now I *almost* want to read it, just so I can clearly remember how to never write the aforementioned drivel.

I enjoyed the story and your ability to call out the author on each notable lack with simple, clear explanations of what was missing, and how it helped shape or drive the story or characters.  You didn't get bogged down in minutiae and your explanations flowed from one to another with ease within the storyline.

As a side note, did you ever hear of the rather large dissertation that one man wrote about the similar lackings in the Harry Potter series?  Haven't had a chance to read the article itself, but the bullet points version really got me to thinking.
