hana sora (Chapter 1) - Fri 03 Apr 2015

A valid point there and i really enjoyed reading your criticism story about twilight XD

sara12 (Chapter 1) - Fri 13 Jun 2014

I would call that constructive criticism, but then again that is my opinion. For Twilight fan, this may not be a very good book but it isn't that bad. I prefer books like the song of ice and fire series

Himura Asami (Chapter 1) - Wed 20 Mar 2013

You go Kagome girl!

Selazul (Chapter 1) - Tue 29 Jan 2013

so much love <3

Ame (Chapter 1) - Sun 16 Dec 2012

Haha! just stumbled across this and had a good laugh.

I admit, I enjoy reading the books, but I have no arguments that will persuade others (I too think it could have been better written, but since it's supposed to be kinda like a first person diary, I was able to get over it.) I can just imagine Kagome figuring out how to twist that situation and knowing that he would actually not like it, plan out completely how to get him to take her to a premier, lol.

Good job!

Azurena (Chapter 1) - Mon 23 May 2011

I just want to say one thing, and it is in no way a flame XP The first time I read Twilight, I liked it. I thought it was good, and didn't really notice any flaws. The second time I read it, I decided I despised Bella with a passion because she has no personality. Period. By the time I had read the entire series more than once, I realized that there really is no point to it. There's no climax or anything. And the movies are even worse. I will say Eclipse was good, the best so far, but the other two . . . eh. They're okay I guess.

I think Twilight had great potential, but didn't live up to it. It could've been way better ^_^

Your fic made me laugh, though, because I totally understood what Sesshoumaru was talking about :P

Miko_DaiYoukai_705 (Chapter 1) - Fri 29 Jan 2010

For me to love Twilight, I can honestly say that this was a well written story and it had many valid points that made me think.  I must say that you are an amazing author, not only because of the valid points you have made, but also because you didn't completely down the book.  I mean you didn't do like many other stories I have read that totally demolish the Twilight saga and its author.  One thing I would like to point out that really had me was the fact that you were correct about Edward not having any flaws.  It makes it quite difficult, more like impossible, for one to relate to is character, since that is what readers like to do and it makes them comfortable with the story.  I can say though, that that is the very reason people fell in love with Edward.  Because he is perfect and you know that he loves you.  You may be able to find a man like that, but he won't be an Edward.  The sparkling part has never made sense to me though.  My boyfriend said that Edward is gay and he uses that as an excuse to wear body glitter. So, to wrap this up, I will say that I do like your technique and style.  I certainly enjoyed reading your story.

Arc-an Angel (Chapter 1) - Fri 04 Dec 2009

Very well written. Your points on twilight were appreciated as I completely feel the same.

Calix (Chapter 1) - Fri 27 Nov 2009

Poor Sess. I agree I don't like Twilight I can hardly force myself to read the book to get a solid opinion. I don't think it is worth it. I did make a T shirt graphic for a friend that she requested recently. It says Buffy Staked Edward end of story!.

Sherry (Chapter 1) - Wed 25 Nov 2009

I loved this!  I'm glad there are still sane people in the world.  Great job!

malom (Chapter 1) - Wed 25 Nov 2009

Hahahaha! Enjoyable, thanks! I have to say that a lot of the stuff I read here on dokuga are much, much better pieces of fiction!

AlohaAngel (Chapter 1) - Wed 25 Nov 2009

I took the time to review solely to say, "Bravo!"

You did a good job exemplifying your dislike of Twilight at a literary core. Honestly, I appreciate that.

Twilight is an interesting phenomenon. It is not a good story, be it in written format or on the movie screen.

However, what the book/movie series does show is the national female interest in "the bad guy" or "the dark side."

Twilight is nothing more than a vampire themed "rescue-the-princess" story and it's popularity speaks of current female social standards. I find it unfortunate that women of the new millenium are swayed by such a traditional, conservative love story.

Twilight is no better than McDonalds. Its not good, but people still like it.

Keep writing good stories. It shows that you want to set the bar higher.

~AlohaAngel

p.s. Only typo I saw in the first read, "Immanent Object." Im guessing you meant, "Inanimate."

FayeMegan (Chapter 1) - Wed 25 Nov 2009

Haha. I agree. S. Meyer is a very amateur writer. I, regretably, have read all of the books. I am a very curious person and I have to say I was very disappointed. It left my friends and I wondering if anyone actually edited the book. I believe Bella is a horrible role model for young girls. She is a weak and self-endangered character who makes some bad choices. /end rant

Anggie (Chapter 1) - Wed 25 Nov 2009

FINALLY SOMEONE WHO GETS ME!!! I have honestly read better plotted fanfiction on this site than there is in that book. I'm clearly not a literary genius, but of all the books to hit it big Twilight gets it? Really?

Megan (Chapter 1) - Wed 25 Nov 2009

hahahh now that was funny, ehhheheh I so agree with Sesshomaru on the book, horrible. I have read three pages of "New moon" and I just put it down, I saw the movie "New Moon" I know I suck LOL, I have say I really don't know why the movies are making such a big deal all over the media? To me the movie lacked acting, I mean there was no acting in it, the expressions were dull, the romance was horrible, and the girl that plays "Bella" she can not act worth crap, she shows no expression or feeling the movie, I mean it is all the same exressions, there were funny parts, and me and My brother were laughing at the whole movie!!, it was horrible, I mean "Anne" the woman that plays "Sookie" form "True Blood" has more acting skills and shows so much emotion than Kristin would ever do in her life!!!. I know I am going to get a thumbs down for this LOL but I just have to let out my opinon on this crapy movie, and really don't understand why this woman, author, and movie writer is so big, I mean come on!!!.

I love your story, Sesshomaru was so funny in this, and he is so right!!, and I bet if Sesshomaru was a real person he would prob kill the woman that wrote "Twilight" I loved it, great story.

Hugs

CritterWhisperer (Chapter 1) - Wed 25 Nov 2009

Oh, how could Kagome even think about Edward being hot when she has Sesshoumaru for a fiance?  **shakes head**  Foolish, foolish Kagome.  I bet Sesshoumar's real reason for hating the book is that he thinks only members of his family should have golden eyes. :)

I agree with you totally about the Twilight books.  They were okay reads, but there are so many stories that are better and have stronger characters.  I disliked how Bella is just your perpetual damsel in distress, with no ability to fight for herself, and all of the conflicts in the series were centered around her.

By the way, that part about Edward's stalker tendencies just brought to mind that Clay Aiken song "If I was Invisible."

Couldntbekeener3 (Chapter 1) - Tue 24 Nov 2009

I agree with you 100 percent. brain washing techniques!!! that fits perfectly!!! maybe thats why i dont like the books i cant relate to ne of the characters. and the acting in the movies is just so terrible. Ive seen other movies that have kristen stewart in it and she plays the exact character in all movies she has ever done. she bores me to tears!!!

White Dire Wolf (Chapter 1) - Tue 24 Nov 2009

Lol, hilarious!  I haven't read the books nor seen the movies, and with all the hype I couldn't stand to.  The premise reminded me too much of Buffy the Vampire slayer series, but without the inner turmoil...so it's a marshmallow PG version of Buffy.  I'm not downing on the books, since I haven't touched them, but I agree with Sess on this one.  Seeing what I have seen, (wikipedia, tabloids, trailers, the line up at the movie theatre for Twilight....) I have no doubt that anyone can publish a book these days...gives me hope! :P

I miss Spike.

PhoenixBlade (Chapter 1) - Tue 24 Nov 2009

I AGREE!  You took all the words right out of my mouth!  Also, I like the way your portrayed Sesshoumaru and Kagome here, I could definitely see them arguing over this in modern day!  (^_~)

Danielle (Chapter 1) - Tue 24 Nov 2009

Hahaha! Poor Sesshoumaru! I agree with him (and you) 110%! Those books really are poorly written, they're just so darn addicting!
