Jeremaid, an Eternal Paradise. by SomberResplendance

Jaded

Kagome fought to forget the seering pain in her heart, caused by her friends unpleasant demise. It had been the end result of the final battle with Naraku. Kagome's friends were slaughtered infront of her very eyes and all she could do for the moment was gasp in horror. Until she came to her senses and killed him with a single sacred arrow through his heart.

Running through the dark forest, unable to see anything infront of her, she could only feel the leaves and thin branches scrapping against her skin and also the warm tears that now streaked her face.

Kagome pushed herself past the physical pain and made her self run as far away from the horrifying sight, noticing that she was near a field.

When Kagome got into the clearing, she stopped and saw an elderly women sitting there a few feet infront of her. Kagome slowly walked tawords her, until she started to speak.

"I knew you would come. I could feel your power burst awhile back," she said.

Her voice was as smooth as silk but, with a promise of death.

Kagome flinched at her voice and backed away as she saw her stand. The elderly woman was a priestess, Kagome could tell by the immense aura coming from her body.

"W-Who are you?" Kagome finally asked.

The elderly woman showed a deadly smile on her face and started walking tawords Kagome with and evil look in her eyes.

"Kikyo, I actually thought you were dead but I guess all those rumors weren't true. All these years i've waited for revenge and now I have the chance to taste the satisfaction. But, death is to good for you. I'm going to curse you with immortality and give you a thurst for blood. So every full moon you will kill innocent people against your own will."

The priestess raised a lunar flower drenched in blood and chanted a few words. The flower glowed with a bright light and a flow of light hit Kagome in the chest and ingulfed her entire body with a dark aura.

Kagome screamed in complete agony as her blood began to boil and her eyes began to burn. The bones in her body began to bend and twist until the sun started to rise and drove away the sudden pain inside her body. Her body, exhausted from the sudden pain, dropped to the ground while her vision began to falter.

Before her it turned dark, she saw the elderly priestess say one last thing.

"Kikyo, I hope that you feel the pain that i have felt for so long. Now I can finally die in peace..."

Then Kagome fainted.
