Chapter One

It was a dark quiet night as Sesshomaru headed back to his castle from a long battle with Inu-Yasha. Jaken was walking with him, talking on about how he could have taken the Tessiaga from Inu-Yasha so easily.Sesshomaru was not listening. He stopped and looked at his sword, he stole. Rin looked up worried and tugged on his kimono, he looked down looking kind of impatient.

"Sesshoumaru, okay? I worry 'bout you and wanna make sure you not hurt from that meany," she said, hugging him."Are you okay, Sessho."

"I'm fine Rin. You look tired, why not take a ride on my tail? Jaken don't give that look, I'm not being nice, now go on a head!!!" Sesshoumaru yelled.

"But master Sesshomaru?!"

"Go!" Jaken went ahead to check out things, as Sesshomaru put Rin on his tail. Then he started walking. It seemed like they been traveling for hours into the night. Jaken came back to him and suggested that they rest for the night. He agreed sitting down and laying Rin on the dewy grass. He watched her breath in the air. For some he felt some kind of sweetness in his heart, but all he might do he couldn't stop it from going through him. As he thinking he also thought about that mortal girl his brother was always hanging around with. He saw her anger of him and that made have a tinglely feeling in him, but he couldn't uncover its meaning.

He looked at Jaken and said," Jaken, you keep watch for any danger. Don't wake me or I'll eat you for lunch."

"Uh huh. I will." Sesshomaru closed his eyes and fell asleep. As the night grew darker and the moon vanished from veiw, Jaken heard something in the darkness of the shadows. He searched in the lining of the woods, but saw nothing. He looked behind him , then he heard someone running all around him. He became furious, so he used his magical stick and the head of the old man shot out fire.He stared as the flames died down and only smoke was in the way.

"Ah, I got him!" Jaken said. All of sudden a small figure in white appeared." What's this? Who are you and how dare you come here."

The figure did not answer instead in its hands appeared a mirror. The mirror glowed and shot out a light that hit Jaken and made him faint. Sesshoumaru woke up from Jaken's scream and saw the girl in white. He pulled his sword out. The girl came up to him smiling as if she was enjoying herself. Her mirror started to swirl and swirl, he stared at it and her. "Who are you?" he said. "Rin stay back I'll handle it." Rin was frightened, she came up the girl. The girl punched Rin, again smiling with pleasure. " I'll kill you, wrench!" he yelled."What, what are you doing.'

The girl's mirror glowed and started to pull him in. As much as he tried to stop from being pulled in he couldn't. Rin woke up and ran to him holding out her hand for him to grab.

" Sessho, grab on to my please."

" Get out of here where it's safe."

Sesshomaru couldn't hold any more, so he got sucked in and was knocked out. The portal closed and the girl disapeared. Rin was crying as Jaken came up to her. He looked bad. She turned crying on the grass. Saying Sesshonaru was gone, Jaken didn't know what to do, but just keep moving on.

Sesshomaru woke up in a hut and heard someone singing. He kept on sleeping, but he felt a kiss on his forehead. He shot up his head and stared at this girl looking at him as he was sick. He at first didn't recongize her because she was wearing a kimono and had her hair in the way all the other human girls in his time were in. He couldn't believe. He backed up, but she satdown in the bed and glanced him. When she got close enough he relieved the girl was really, Kagome.
