Jabber-Sessh! by Smittee

The Jabber-Sessh!

School is back...and is wearing me down. I can't hardly think of anything to write in my fanfics, let alone in role plays. So, this one shot may or may not make sense. I'm just trying to get my brain working again.

Oh, I don't own Inuyasha or the poem used in this rp. The characters are Rumiko Takahashi's, and the poem is from "Alice and Wonderland:And Through the Looking Glass".

The Jabberwocky

Twas brilling, and the slithy toves;

Did gyre and gimble in the wabe;

All mimsy were the borogroves;

And the mome raths outgrabe;

Beware the Jabberwock, my son;

The jaws that bite, the claws that catch;

Beware the Jubjub Bird, and shun;

the frumious Bandersnatch;

He took his vorpal sword in hand;

long time the manxome foe he sought;

So rested he, by the Tum Tum tree;

And stood awhile and thought;

And as in uffish thought he stood;

The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame;

Came whiffling through the tulgey woods;

And burbled as he came;

One, two! One two! And through, and through;

The vorpal blade with snicker-snack;

He left it dead, and with it's head;

He came galumphing back;

And hast thou slain the Jabberwock;

Come to my arms, my beamish boy;

Oh frabjous day, Callooh Callay;

he chortled in his joy;

Twas brilling, and the slithy toves;

Did gyre and gimble in the wabe;

All mimsy were the borogroves;

And the mome raths outgrabe."

Two children clung tightly to each other; one girl and one boy. The girl replied,"T-that was scary, Kagome!"

"Y-yeah,"agreed the boy,"And you acted it out and everything!"

Kagome giggled a bit. "Sorry you guys, but I kinda get into that one." She was about to say more, when she heard a familiar voice come towards them, and so sighed.

"Kagome, we need you in Kaede's village. Sango hit Miroku again, but this time accidentally made him bleed more than usual."

"All right, Inuyasha, I'm coming." She turned to the children. "Okay, Rin and Shippo, you stay right here. Ah~Uhn will watch out for you. And Sesshomaru should be nearby. So, don't worry, all right?"

Shippo pulled away from Rin. "Don't worry, Kagome! I'll protect Rin!"

Kagome smiled,"I know you will." She then turned in left, after seeing the large blush on Shippo's face. Shippo watched Kagome leaving, still in his 'brave' stance.

"Shippo? Are you really going to protect me? Even from Jabberwocks?"

Shippo turneed towards her, trying to hide his fear on that one. "Of course! Even from Jaber-!" He quieted, hearing a soft and low noise.

Rin Stood beside him and gasped,"What's that?"

They listened again, and heard the sound once more. "It sounds like it's 'burbling',"said Shippo.

"Could it be a Jabberwock,"whispered Rin to him.

"I-I don't know." Shippo was shaking a bit. 'What if it IS a Jabberwock! They sounded really scary! But, I have to protect Rin!' Gathering some will, Shippo stood straight, still shaking, and gulped. "I'm going to see what it is."

"Please! Let me come with you. Don't leave me here all alone."

"O-o-okay, Rin. Just s-stay behind me, all right?"

Rin nodded. As she got behind him, and began to follow his slow walk, she asked,"But Shippo, don't you need a vorpal blade?"

"Ah, y-yeah, I guess. But, I don't have one. I know!" He walked over to a stick and placed a leaf upon it. With his fox magic, he made it look like the sword that Kagome drew in the sand. "This should work!"

Rin nodded, agreeing with him. She then got behind him again, and then walked on, towards the dark and evil noise before them. When they got to the source, Shippo and Rin hid behind a tree nearby. Slowly, they began to peek out. Shippo gulped, only seeing the leaves from the autumn trees rising and falling, the sound made every time they fell.

"Is it asleep,"whispered Rin to Shippo.

"I dunno. I'll check,"he replied softly, picking up and acorn from the ground and tossing at it. He heard it hit hard, and the leaves shook a bit. Rin began to shake in fear, and Shippo held the sword tightly in front of him. Inside the leave could be seen shining two, big, red eyes. They stood in fear, unsure as what to do. The leaves began to shake, as the beast began to rise. All Shippo knew then was that he made a mistake. Large fangs could be seen, and long claws were beginning to stretch over the leaf-covered beast.

Seeing the arms begin to stretch out in front of the self, and towards them, they screamed and ran for Kaede's village!

The beast stretched a bit more, the claws and fangs returning to normal. It's eyes now were human like, only showing off gold orbs in a cold expression. He began snatching leaves off of him, growling a bit. "This Sesshomaru's person is stained from grass and covered with leaves..." Sesshomaru was curious as to what disturbed him while he slept, waking his youkai, but it didn't matter now. He got rid of the remaining leaves and headed towards camp.

'I wonder how Rin and Shippo are doing, and if Kagome is telling them poetry again." And so he walked on.

Short and simple, that should do it. I hope you liked it, and I hope you review!
